I recieved a BA in Anthropology from The University of California at Berkeley
I spent two years at the Academy of Art College (now called the Academy of Art University) in San Francisco where I studied figure drawing and anatomy.
My very recent mother and child paintings bring the viewer in, to look into the picture space. They are detailed compositions that reveal surprises and emotions. From a distance, they look jewel-like with glowing colors. In dim light, the ones with gold paint stand out and create a different design.
I use the gold paint in the same way in some of my entirely abstract paintings. The composition of the painting will change in different lights.
My abstract paintings are bold. They speak to their space. Their pure purpose is to give pleasure and allow emotions that might be associated with the viewer’s feelings about the colors and shapes.
